This mahogany is preferred for its natural moisture resistance, high-density, and tremendous stability. It is the most rot-resistant wood, which makes it highly suitable for outdoor use. It is impervious to almost all types of insect damage and has superior stability in many different climates.

Honduran mahogany cannot be traded unless it is verified as coming from a legal and sustainable source. Mahogany is a naturally renewable resource.
